WHAT'S NEW BANNER- Available -Recovered

A recent Presenters Pick of the Month by the Independent Blues Broadcasters Association (IBBA), Greg Coulson’s debut album ‘What’s New?’ has been well received by critics and given extensive radio and online airplay. So much so that it was Number 1 in the IBBA airplay chart in July 2018, preceded by rave reviews of his HRH Blues Festival appearance in April and followed by his competing in the UK Blues Challenge 2018. Reviews include:

Classic Rock

"Gregory Coulson has the homegrown R&B thing down – see jiving opener 10/10, the cocksure Sick Note and the lift-off chorus of Girls, all three songs as fresh as the genre has sounded in years"

, “… a worthy debut… As an ensemble, Coulson’s band displays the tightness essential to handle the passion and timing of his thoughtfully arranged songs”

Bluesdoodles online

, “…an enthralling mix of styles played by a band of great skill and energy” – full review here

Down The Front Media

“The combination of solid musicianship, catchy tunes and elements of soul, jazz, blues and rock means that there is plenty to enjoy here!”

 Blues in Britain

“not many people could follow that.” With more airplay and reviews coming in, this is a watershed year for Greg Coulson.

Greg has his own special, fiery, impassioned brand of Rhythm & Blues, putting his own stamp on the music of the greats who inspire him - Ray Charles, Booker T, Taj Mahal and more. Greg breathes new life into what is often considered Vintage music, reminding people of all ages of why this music once dominated the world.
